Proso is a small grain millet primarily used for bird and livestock feed and is similar to oats and barley for feed values.
Proso Millet has a considerably high fiber content and is best used in livestock rations combined with other grains.
Plant 1/4″-1/2″ depth.
Plant when soil temperature reaches 60 degrees farenheit. (In the midwest this would generally be the end of May or in June.)
Harvest at 40-50 inches or when crop is in the boot stage. Proso Millet does not recover well after cutting.
