Creeping Red Fescue
Creeping Red Fescue

Creeping Red Fescue is a very economical, fine bladed cool season grass that tolerates shade very well, making it an excellent companion in lawn mixes with turf grasses and Kentucky Bluegrass.

Creeping Red Fescue creeps along the soil setting down short rhizomes, these roots and shoots establish from their nodes and grow under the soil perpendicularly, and will spread quickly by sending new shoots to grow upwards

Establishment

Creeping Red Fescue is best planted in the Spring or early Autumn when the soil is warm. Plant at 1/4″ depht into a well prepared, firm seedbed. Tall Fescue can be broadcast or planted-do NOT plant too deep, 1/8 – 1/4 inch is best. Fescues, do not no-till establish well, unless a herbicide is used to kill or retard the existing stand, as there is too much competition from the already established grasses. Soil samples should be collected and analyzed well in advance of establishment.

Management

Lime should be applied six months in advance to allow time to react. Phosphorous and potassium should be applied according to soil test recommendation. Lacking a soil test, apply: N= 30 lbs., P= 70lbs. and K= 50 lbs./acre. Appropriate cutting heighth is improtant for plant regrowth. After cutting, there should be leaves remaining on the plant.

OUR PROMISE

A money-back guarantee, also known as a satisfaction guarantee, is essentially a simple guarantee that, if a buyer is not satisfied with a product or service, a refund will be made.
The 18th century entrepreneur Josiah Wedgwood pioneered many of the marketing strategies used today, including the satisfaction-or-money-back guarantee on the entire range of his pottery products. He took advantage of his guarantee offer to send his products to rich clientele across Europe unsolicited. The money-back guarantee was also a major tool of early U.S. mail order sales pioneers in the United States such as Richard Sears and Powel Crosley Jr. to win the confidence of consumers.
