Cowpeas are an annual vining cowpea variety with medium-large, reddish-green pods and red peas.
Cowpea plants do well in a wide variety of soils, are drought tolerant & very palatable to all classes of livestock-offering producers high yields of high quality forage.

Cowpea plants produce heavy yields of leafy cowpeas that are a wildlife favorite with quail, bird and deer hunters and can be used for grazing or hay production.

Establishment

Plant 1-2″ depth.
Cowpeas can be planted from late spring to early summer when soil temperatures reach 60 to 65 degrees.
Inoculation recommended

Management

Cowpeas cannot tolerate colder soils or frost.
