Bonar Rape Seed
Bonar Rape Seed

Bonar Rape Seed is an improved large, late maturing rape seed that was bred for improved palatability and higher leaf to stem ratio.
Bonar is high yielding and can provide quality winter feed after crops, or can be used as part of a pasture renewal program.

Bonar has been used extensively in New Zealand and has consitently out-performed other commercially available brassica lines, particularly in autumn when soil moisture is not limiting.
Bonar has demonstrated superior utilization compared to other high yielding rape lines and is resistant to powdery mildew. Improved animal preferences and quality exhibited by Bonar results in superior animal performance due to the increased voluntary feed intake. Bonar has the ability to significantly increase animal production.

Establishment

Plant at 1/4″ depth in a well prepared seed bed in the spring or early fall.
Seed can be broadcast or no-tilled into suppressed sod but planting rate should be increased by 20-30%.
Brassicas like moist soils with good soil drainage and grow best on soils with a pH between 5.3 and 6.8 with medium levels of phosphorus and potassium. Apply 50-75 pounds of nitrogen at planting. If tillage is conducted let the first flush of weeds germinate then till the field one more time to control weeds. After final tillage pass, firm soil with a cultipacker then either drill or broadcast seed.

Management

OUR PROMISE

A money-back guarantee, also known as a satisfaction guarantee, is essentially a simple guarantee that, if a buyer is not satisfied with a product or service, a refund will be made.
The 18th century entrepreneur Josiah Wedgwood pioneered many of the marketing strategies used today, including the satisfaction-or-money-back guarantee on the entire range of his pottery products. He took advantage of his guarantee offer to send his products to rich clientele across Europe unsolicited. The money-back guarantee was also a major tool of early U.S. mail order sales pioneers in the United States such as Richard Sears and Powel Crosley Jr. to win the confidence of consumers.
