NOTE: Individual mineral and vitamin requirements of horses depend on the stage of production (growth, maintenance, gestation, or lactation), size, and age of the animal. Likewise, the mineral and vitamin content of forages varies depending on the geographical location where grown and the stage of forage growth when harvested or consumed by the horse.
